Your money is funny. The car won’t start. The sink needs fixing. Those extra pounds are weighing you down. Your family and friends all seem like aliens these days. You and your mate aren’t seeing eye to eye. Some of you are reading this and thinking, “Honey, I don’t even have a man to argue with!” (I feel you Girl and THAT is an entire struggle of its own propensity). AND to put a nice big cherry on top, you receive confirmation that your coworkers are indeed conspiring against you. Peace be still my love, you are simply dealing with another one of life’s storms. Know in your soul that this too shall pass.
Just as there are seasons in weather, there are seasons in life. There’s no secret that there are four seasons throughout the year. Each season has unique characteristics and events that occur most prevalently within that season. We know that winter drops temperatures and summer brings the heat. We also know that tornado seasons differ throughout the different regions of the world. Despite our learned expectations, each season will experience unpredictable weather events that are seemingly uncharacteristic of that season, events that are powerful enough to claim tremendous havoc. We are all creatures of nature; therefore the laws of nature are mimicked throughout our own lives. Every once in a while there will be an unexpected storm that comes through your life and seemingly knock you flat on your arse.
Your number one mission should you choose to accept it, is to remain happy.
“Don’t Worry Be Happy” – 3 Truths About Life’s Storms
1) Be Happy For Your Life As It Stands Right Now – Too often we get fixated on the promises of tomorrow. Many of us get trapped in reflecting on our glory days of yesterday, our “Hey Day” if you will. There is nothing wrong with reflecting on our past and it’s great to be optimistic about our future. However, all we have is NOW. This current moment in space is the only moment guaranteed to us. My question to you is, what can you decide to be grateful for RIGHT NOW? Choose to be happy in this moment and that happiness can transcend into your future. Your ability to smile and stand strong in your toughest season will impact others and become a case study for grace and dignity.

2) Have an Attitude of Gratitude – Cliché or not, this is an absolute universal law. Express gratitude for all things in your life. The more gratitude you express, the more abundance you will experience. Know that abundance is not limited or defined by material things. Everything we need is already provided for us by the source (I call Him God; you might call it something else). Think about if you had a child that you lavished wonderful gifts and treasures upon, yet this child constantly complains rather than praise. Would you happily continue to lavish that child? Probably not (some of you would, but that’s a whole NOTHA debate). Speak power and appreciate over the gifts that life has granted you and you’ll soon be able to close your umbrella.
3) Get Busy Doing The Work – Some storms are simply unpredictable and beyond our poweres. Yet there are storms created with the help of man. All you have to do is look at our current climate change conditions and global warming. There is evidence of man’s role in assisting in the creation of nature’s storms. Our personal lives are no different. Take the time to evaluate the hand which you played in the state of your current condition. Once you’ve come to this realization, don’t get stuck in a place of self-condemnation and constantly beat up on yourself. Evaluate, accept responsibility, and take action to course correct in order to get yourself onto a better path.
Happiness is a choice. Despite what you are going through, you have the ability to take action that will increase your happiness. Massive action is the true secret to success. Now, get to work!
